Square ribbed aqua blue colored glass inkwell. This has a burst top neck with ribbed glass and two depressions for resting a quill or ink pen. These look amazing grouped together and used a bud vases! Such a unique gift as well. Circa late 1800s - early 1900s.
Antique Bubbled & Wavy Glass
Measures 2.5" tall x 1.75"wide
Antique burst/shear top ink wells were made this way and haven't been broken. The shear top is formed in the manufacturing process when it is broken away from the glass blowers blow pipe.
The Inkwells are from England and were used during the Victorian Era. They are also know as Penny Inks. They have been excavated and have developed a unique patina from being buried under the dirt for decades.
